SiS671DX-based Asus F5V Series of Notebooks

SiS announced that Asus F5V
series notebooks further implemented its SiS671DX chipsets to reinforce the
performance of the computers.
The Asus F5V with 15.4" widescreen LCD monitor features Intel Centrino Duo
Mobile Technology and the SiS671DX chipset. It supports Intel Core Duo and
Celeron M processors, DDR2-667 DRAM up to 2GB. It equips one DVI and one VGA
ports.
The SiS671DX chipset is fully compatible with Windows Vista. By combining with
different levels of graphics cards, the SiS671DX enables the ASUS F5V notebook
to support operating systems such as Windows Vista Ultimate/Business/Home
Premium/Home Basic.

The SiS968 Southbridge is paired with the SiS671DX chipset to optimize the
functionality of Asus F5V notebook. By providing Serial ATA high-speed slots,
the chipset increases the transmission speed of hard disk and DVD-ROM. By
supporting 4 USB 2.0 ports, the SiS968 chipset allows the system for further
connections. With the built-in 10/100Mbps Ethernet, the 802.11b/g based
Mini-Card PCIe, and Bluetooth module, ASUS F5V notebook offers mobility.
